Cadillac and Mercedes-Benz offer plenty of comfort and convenience, but they don't come close to matching the Bentley Bentayga 2022's level of luxury. With a V-8 or W-12 engine under the hood, the Bentayga has enough power for prolonged high-speed cross-country touring. There's also a cargo space beneath the back seat that's big enough for a shopping binge.
Silky, aromatic leather, stunning wood and metal accents, and all of the modern infotainment systems that purchasers expect from a cutting-edge car adorn the sumptuous interior.
There are competitors for the Bentayga, but we'll examine at how it differs from them here. You can also sell any automobile in Dubai with ease, or buy any car, including a Bentley Bentayga, by visiting CarSwitch.
What's new in the car?
Performance, Engine, and Transmission
The Bentayga's 443-hp hybrid powertrain will be phased out for the 2022 model year, so the 542-hp twin-turbo V-8 will be the entry-level engine. The Bentayga Speed sets new standards with its 626-hp W-12 engine.
When the Speed had 600 horsepower, it was a silky-smooth beast that clocked in at 3.6 seconds in 60-mph tests conducted by many experts. The W-12 has a smoother power delivery and more robust maneuverability than the V-8.
Real-World MPG and Fuel Economy
The V-8-powered model's 14 mpg city, 23 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined ratings aren't bad for a big SUV, but the W-12's are. It gets 12 miles per gallon in the city, 17 miles per gallon on the highway, and 14 miles per gallon overall. However, if you can afford a Bentley Bentayga, you are unlikely to be concerned about fuel efficiency. Cargo, interior, and comfort are all important factors to consider.
With exquisite perfumed leathers, real wood trim, and gleaming metal decorations, the Bentayga cabin stays loyal to its premium name. The buyer can modify almost every aspect of a Bentley.
Buyers can opt for four-seat front and rear bucket seats, or a three-across second-row bench and a pop-up two-seat third row that seats seven people.
While the back seat of the Bentayga isn't as lavish as the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, it still gives enough space for people to relax and spread out. The cargo area of the Bentayga, at least in two-row variants, is big and generous, and you can easily fit nine carry-on bags in the back.
Cargo, Interior, and Comfort
The cabin of the Bentayga maintains true to its premium identity, with rich-smelling leathers, real wood trim, and glittering metal embellishments. Almost everything about a Bentley may be customized. Buyers can choose between front and rear bucket seats, which seat four people, or a three-across second-row bench and a pop-up two-seat third row, which seats seven people.
While the back seat isn't as luxurious as that of the Bentayga's main competitor, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, it still provides enough of room for adults to spread out. Leather upholstery comes in a variety of colors, as do two Breitling dash clocks with mother-of-pearl faces, a bottle chiller for rear-seat passengers, adjustable ambient inside lighting, and even a safe with a biometric lock and fingerprint reader.
We were able to stow nine carry-on baggage back in the cargo area of the Bentayga, at least in two-row variants.
Connectivity and Infotainment
All Bentayga versions come equipped with a 10.9-inch infotainment screen with navigation and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The optional entertainment system consists of two 10.2-inch displays mounted to the front-seat headrests.
The wooden trims on the Bentley have their own appeal, and the infotainment screen appears to be pushed out. All Bentaygas come standard with a 12-speaker stereo, but you can upgrade to a 20-speaker premium sound system from Naim.
Features for Driver Assistance and Safet
Bentley offers a variety of driver-assistance features, although nearly all of them are expensive. Several of these features are standard on "lesser" premium SUVs, such as the BMW X7 and Cadillac Escalade. It possesses the following traits that set it apart.
It has adaptive cruise control and a night-vision system, as well as lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist. It also has automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection as standard.
If you can afford it, the Bentayga S is a terrific pick. It takes everything that is great about Bentley's SUV and adds a dash of performance, effectively obviating the need for the Speed.
Coverage for Warranty and Maintenance
The Bentayga, like all other Bentley cars, comes with a three-year guarantee with no mileage limit. In addition, the first maintenance visit is complimentary. The Cullinan provides additional value in this area, with a four-year guarantee and four years of complimentary maintenance.
- Three-year limited warranty with unlimited mileage
- Three-year, unlimited-mileage powertrain warranty
- For one year or 10,000 miles, complimentary maintenance is provided.
